A little bit about me, if you must

After seventeen years of publicly funded education (thank you!), I went off into the world to get my own education. For a number of years, I sought creative work in places like Ireland, England, New Zealand and Australia.
While I gained valuable knowledge as a waitress, production coordinator, farmhand, and web designer, I learned the most from the funny-sounding people I met — and who continue to be a part of my life.
When I found myself back in the states a few years ago, I gravitated towards Portland, Oregon. For many years, the city had been rumoured (yes, in those days it had a ‘u’) to be a chain-store-boycotting, eco-responsible, public-transitable west coast shangri-la.
The rumours were right.
I’ve started running into folks I know on the street. I’m adept at navigating my bicycle tires around streetcar tracks. Occasionally, I am graced with some funny-sounding visitors from my past.
